Man, I was flying the other day with this new captain, and he like asked me something about if I checked those and I was like, no I didn't, dude. So he asked me nicely to and I opened up the mx log book and started looking and then he was like, dude, it's not there don't you know where it all is. I was like, ha no one's ever taught me this captain stuff dude! So I just walked and sat down and watched where he looked. That stuff wasn't even in the "c-pit!" I was wondering where other people had their stuff on their planes.
 
They have to be in view of the passengers. They will be in the cabin somewhere. My airline has them behind the flight deck door when it's open.
 
Yeah, there really is no difference in flying the 152 and a RJ. Just tell your CAs that and they will not pick on you anymore.
