Anyone that attended the November Air Inc job fair in Atlanta get called for an interview from AirTran yet? If so, did you have a letter of reccomendation from an AirTran pilot to help speed up the process?

Anyone else get called for an interview from the most recent Job Fair in DFW a couple of weeks ago? I know one person that did and he did not have an internal reccomendation. Just curious.

Thanks

I attended the Nov Atlanta meeting with two other mil guys in the 4000 hour range and we haven't heard from anyone but Comair

A friend of mine went to a jobfair in DFW a few weeks ago and was called for an interview next week. This is after three years of trying. It looks like the jobfairs are worth the priice of admission.

Any idea what his quals are? I was in DFW and have a LOR from a 717 CA buddy of mine. I haven't gotten a call yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

He had about 800-1000 pic turbo-prop and prior 717 time at TWA. Other than that, I'm not sure.

I was at the Nov AirInc and have not heard anything yet. It was my first time at one of the conferences. AirTran actually told me the best way to get a call was to keep going to the conferences. I did not have a LOR. 8000TT/5000PIC Turbine.

I went to Nov 03 job fair in Atl and got a call in Aug 04. A friend who was with me at the job fair got a call a couple of weeks later. Unless you have someone really helping you out on the inside, it won't happen right away.

Thanks for the info everyone!

Just keep sending stuff in. Yes, I did go to an AirInc Job Fair (DFW, Jan 2003). Wasn't sure if it helped, but I know it didn't hurt. Interviewed June 2003. Now I'm almost 1/2 way up the FO list. Growth is very good here. Really diverse background of guys--Military, Former "Majors", Former "Commuters".

In general, most everyone you'll fly with are awesome, so I think you'll enjoy it here alot.

They just put a picture of Elton John on the side of one of our 717s. Either that, or it's a pic of Ty Webb. Kind of scarry looking.;)

Me OR Elton John?

Dude, even Ray Charles could tell the difference!;)

What we really need are a couple of airplanes with Ludachris and Lil Jon on the side, we are based in ATL after all.

I can't stress enough how someone on the inside helps. I had my stuff in there for about 2 years, nuthin. I had a buddy work from the inside and a call for the interview came days later.

I guess if you're in ATL or MCO, you'll be wearing the Hub-Cap, otherwise, if you had a pair of Elton-type sunglasses, I think it would be too close to call. Maybe FL 717 should sport a pair of Elton shades. He'd be stylin'
