Anyone out there know anything about instructor pay, benefits, and QOL at Airtran? Do they have any line guys in the department? Can you hire on as an IP and eventually get a seniority number?

Thanks,

The only outside guy that I am aware of was a Boeing 717 flight test pilot. The instructors are mostly retired or senior pilots, also guys from the Air Force One squadron. They do have FOs that they use for ground instruction.

About 50 percent retired folks.they are bagging out little by little....some line folks... nobody hired off the street as management ..that I know of...they use FO's cause they are less expensive....dangle a carrot in front of them...like sim training...bla bla bla.. not to sure about the 737 side ?
