Does anyone have the up-dated hiring plans for Airtran for 2006 and beyond. Also what are the fleet plans.

Thanks

DougsRule.

When the last DC-9 is flown to the desert, the crew will drink a can of beer...made from the last Airbus.

19 airplanes, 250 pilots

I think it's 500 PIC, 121.

An instructor told me 300 in '06.

If you only have turboprop PIC is that looked down on? I ask because I may go to a regional with just turboprops and want to know if I have a chance to move on from there.

I don't think they care.

Sat next to a new hire from BWI to ATL a few months back and he came from CommuteAir (be-1900's) so the answer is no. 121 PIC is 121 PIC.

All true. I'm flying with a CK Pilot who interviews. He says 270-280 for '06. 121 PIC is 121 PIC. The requirement is for 500 PIC.

18 737s and 2 717s in '06. 18 737s per year for at least two more years after that.

Thanks for the info!! But, the dumb questions keep coming to me...what is the current up-grade time and how many retirements in the near future? (
Say 5 to 10 years.)

Thanks.
