Last class started on october 10th- 14 717 FOs
Next class is on October 30th- 14 717 FOs

Interviewing has begun. From what I am told the pool is empty.
I just listened to the earnings conference call and we are getting 23 717s next year. We will have 73 717s and 0 DC-9s. Good luck everyone.

Hiring Minimums?

I know the web site advertises 2500 tt and 500 me, but what are competitive times/experience with those who are in class right now and those that are getting interviews? Do they prefer low time guys that will stick around vs. furloughed 121 guys that may be recalled a few years from now?

I'm wondering why they took the time/effort/money(?) to post an ad on climbto350.com for First Officers. Shouldn't they have resumes stacked to the ceiling like everyone else? Just curious.

To get an interview I am hearing that you need at least 1000 hours 121 PIC and a letter of rec from a current Airtran pilot.

Here is where the last class came from.

14 total new hires.

4 - Sun Country
2 - Midway Airlines
1 - CommutAir
1 - Gemini Air Cargo
2 - Corporte Airlines
1 - Southeast Airlines
1 - US Airways
1 - CC Air
1 - Comair
