I listened to the live conference call today. Here are a few highlights:

*Denver is the most successful startup city AirTran has ever had.

*West coast loads (LAX, LAS) are running near 90% loads, and are now profitable for us.

*Up to 25% of our flights DO NOT connect in Atlanta (point-to-point).

*No plans for in-flight entertainment right now. AirTran will re-evaluate down the road with newer technology. (Great plan!)

*We will evaluate growth in secondary markets that larger carriers are shrinking (PIT and STL were mentioned)

*They will try hard for more DCA slots (we currently have 2) and then decide whether to move in there. They want to have BWI, IAD and DCA. They are considering expanding IAD. (I think they will open a joint crew base if we get DCA. Just my opinion).

*Major carrier subsidary RJ's are not affecting us, and according to our CEO hurting the major carriers.

*According to the CEO, the majors continue to hurt themselves by competing head on at a loss, rather than focus on their profitability. (Yes profitability IS possible without a bloodbath approach contrary to some beliefs)

*Regarding the ACA announcement of LCC our CEO stated that ACA CASM's are 15 cents. That is NOT low cost.

*September booking are through the roof.

*We are in a excellent cash position for our size, growth plan, and current short term debt.

It was a very good call. Happy to be here thats for sure!

For those of us whose dream job was something out of Denver, let's hope that something opens up there.

It's nice to hear good news. We should have a day of postings with just good stuff. Happy landings Citrus!!!

Here's some good news

I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geico!!!:D

Way to go Citrus!

And thanks for a bunch of "free" rides into ATL even though your policy is to charge. Heck, even my family has used ya'll on our interline agreement and not been charged a dime.

C Ya
