Just got back from Canyonlands (Islands in the Sky sector)/Moab, Ut. While in Canyonlands National Park, I spied some airstrips apparently used by the uranium mining companies before the area was a park. One of the strips is just south of the Green River Overlook. Hard to tell how long it is (I estimate 2000-3000 ft) and it is overgrown a little bit with vegetation (but any port in a storm!!). The ranger didn't anything else about them.

Has anyone landed at any of these strips?? What kind of plane was used? Any other info that you can provide would be appreciated.
