Anyone here ever stayed at the Airport Hilton in SAT ? How was it ? Thanks

Noisy! (Airport Noise) We go a couple blacks away to the Courtyard and that solved the problem.

It was also starting to show its age the last time we stayed. If you have to stay there, get a room that points away from the airport.

Drury Inn

I always stayed at the Drury Inn 1/2 mile down the 410 frontage road from KSAT. Better price, quieter, shuttle to the airport/FSI, and a very good complimentary breakfast in the mornings.

Stay at the Hilton downtown on the River walk, if you have any choice in the matter.

I second the motion. I spent most of the summer at the Drury on I-410. Very nice folks.

I DO NOT recommend the Hilton property at the corner of McCullough and I-410. Lousy service, very unfriendly and would not honor my Diamond Club card status because they didn't think my company was paying enough for our hotel rooms. I was able to convince our company to switch all our pilots and FA's to the Drury costing the Hilton many thousands of dollars. Our crews really liked the Drury.

We used to stay at the Drury but after our last visit a week or so ago, no more. Rooms stunk and the air conditioner didn't work very either. Then there were the firetruck and police sirens both nights.

Stayed at the Drury. Free dinner, free beer, and breakfast. What more could you ask for?

Stayed there several times on our single over-nights. Nice rooms with the Hilton dream beds. Had no problem with noise. I would stay there again no problems.

If I was going to be there for more than one night I would go downtown, however.
