Does anyone know how difficult it is to get a Caravan line as a new hire at Airnet?

It all depends on what base is open after you finish up initial training. So you might end up in a base that is a Baron base for a few months. So if your willing to stay in one place for a few months, and wait for a caravan base to open then you have the right attitude, but people need to know that when you show up to AirNet, whatever is open is what you get.
