Can anyone tell me the current status of working for airnet are? I know there is talk of business slowing down due to the new electronic check laws. I also read on Airnet's site that the min to apply is now 500hrs. I am interested in airnet because I am a Caravan pilot, and only have 35 multi. I don't know if going there for a year will look good or bad on my resume however. Also, how do you feel about flying all night and sleeping all day? How does it interefere with your girlfriend?

Thanks,
Jimbodawg

What does your girlfriend have to do with your career?

To answer your ? though, Airnet will provide the most relationship friendly job atmosphere you will get in aviation. You are, at least, home every day.

Great company, cant speak enough of the place.

That would only be if your girlfriend works nights at the local truck stop and sleeps the days with you....

Working nights almost killed my 7 year relationship with my girlfriend...now my wife. I was seeing her once a week in a hazy stupor from trying to stay awake on Saturdays. Thank God I'm back to days. It was the only thing I hated about Airnet...the schedule....5 nights a week...6 legs a night. My current gig feels like a vacation every month. I see my wife 10 times more now than I ever did at Airnet. Working nights is a relationship killer.

Airnet and Gfriends

I just got engaged 2 weeks ago to my girl of 6 Years. Ive been with airnet for 8 months, plan on upgradeing this week to the jet (I Hope). And my girl loves airnet. I do have a 1pm to 1am schedule though. Life is good.

How long are upgrades running on the jet?And how hard is it to get a west coast base? And how long does it take to upgrade to Jetride? Also from Fo to Captian? Thanks

Prop PIC to jet SIC are running around 8 to 9 months and Jet SIC to Jet PIC seem to be around 8 months if you aren't too picky on the run.

I echo Haz-Mats thoughts.

You can go to JetRide from the street if you have the time.

Right now it seems that flight time is the limiting factor on upgrades and transitions. On the cargo side (2000TT 500ME or 500C 208 for Jet SIC) and (3000TT 1500ME and 500Jet for Jet PIC)

So as long as you have the time going to the Jetride side is not hard? And how senior are west coast bases? Thanks
