Got the email for the phone interview, called, and was offered an Interview next Thursday, the 10th.

Been reading all the gouges on the internet.

Anyone have any clue where the most junior places are and where most of the newbies have been going lately?

Thanks

Not really sure myself,

However you can be sure that I will outbid whatever your top choice is ;)

Hope to you see out there man

Worry about getting through training first. Anybody can go anywhere. A new guy right out of training got DAL. Usually a senior base, then he turned it down to go to MKE, another desireable base. It's anybody's guess. You can usually get where you want to go after about six months. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Jaybird,

Any idea how long it would take me to get right seat in the Lear based out of APA. I've got 2200 TT with 450 SIC in Lear 35.

Thanks,

I don't think AirNet is hiring into the jet at this time - you'd fly as a prop p.i.c. first then upgrade to the jet, when i went through training (about 2 months ago) they were telling us anywhere from a year and a half to two years to upgrade. There does seem to be a lot of jet slots on the bid sheets though. I'm pretty sure APA is fairly senior also.

...is this jay that used to fly shreveport ;)

upgrade time

I wish it only took 1 1/2 to 2 years I would be out of the 310 now. 2 1/2 years is a bit more realistic, although some have gotten it at 2 years and 3 months.
Good Luck
PS The only way that people have been hired directly into the jet is with the Jet Ride end of the company. They fly the passenger 35's and 60's. However I dont think that has happened recently, and when it does they are hiring capitans off the street, not FO's.

Took me 2 yrs and 4 months to upgrade. It is well worth the wait though. Good luck on the APA slots, they are highly liked by most senior guys. Most of the pilots there are not moving at all.

future

How does the future of airnet look. Especially with the bank check industry starting to circle the toilet. Are the expanding in other areas? Do people at the bottom feel they will have jobs in a couple of years. What is the word from management on the subject?

See "AirNet Quality of Life Post". this issue is addressed there. Not trying to be rude, just too tired to retype it or move it here.
