It's me again. Oh the excitement :)

Just out of curiosity, are Airnet's B-58's GPS equipped? If so, with which system?

Nerves are settling in and I'm trying to push them out with trivial information. If I can keep my mind active it won't wounder into the world of what if.

Wish me well on my first ever pilot interview (aside from the CFI jobs I've had.)

Then you have some that don't have either and they have you flying BDL,TEB,BDL,TEB,PHL,TEB,BDL,BOS,BDL. That was my 2nd day at AirNet. Got to see lots of ice and snow!

Don't worry about the interview. Be yourself, remember your engine failure procedures for the sim and face to face interview. Best quote from Craig in my interview: "Airspeed is your friend, Altitude is your Pal."

It's nice having a moving map in the plane. (Back off. I didn't say a plane can't be flown with out it, just that it's nice to have it. Sorry. I had to chase off the nay sayer in advance)

Moving maps are in the N10_AN models. They were nice to have on the long leg from SDF to LIT!! The altitude alerter sounded like the Chief Pilot though... freaked me out everytime it said "Altitude!"

In the Baron fleet, you are most likely to find the Apollo GX50 GPS. The intention is to standardize the fleet with these. Three of the barons also have a King KMD850 linked to the GPS.

Some of the Barons have King KLN90B units and some have Trimble units. I've seen a handful of Northstar units, one Garmin 135, and probably a half dozen Barons or so that have no GPS but a (crappy) Loran or a VOR-DME RNAV unit.

In the Chieftain fleet, you'll find either the GX50 or the Trimble or nothing, but I think there are only 1 or 2 Chieftains with no GPS at all.

In the Caravans you'll find either the GX50/KMD850 combo or you'll find the Garmin 430.

In the Learjets, all of them have Trimble units and one of the jets also has a Garmin 420

Hope that helps.

And yes, that dang altitude alerter in the new Vans sounds just like Quinn. Very unnerving if ya ask me.

Am I alone in the assumption that all AirNet cargo is Prop. and Jet Ride has all the jets? Boy was I disoriented when I climbed into the lear 35 and not a Barron.

Airnet does indeed do cargo in the learjets as well as in the props. Granted, the freighter lears aren't all that pretty to look at.
