So from what I heard the pilot who got the jet sic spot last week was seniority number 290ish. If they open 1 jet SIC spot per week which is what it is averageing out to for the year so far that will put me in a jet in 50 weeks. That is only my logic. What does everybody think of this theory.

anything can happen. it took me 2 1/2 years to get to the right seat without passing a single spot up.

Whats the most Junior guy now? Are we up to 350 yet? I'm in the low 300s, I think the last guy was a 280 something, because I think I still counted 20 or so before me.

Anything is possible, but just to point out something. They are a lot of people above that low jet guy that are just waiting for their base to open up. I think people saw that there was a bit of movement, and all of a sudden shifted from the "I'll bid anything" to the "hmm, maybe I can get <insert favorite base here>" thought process. Just my guess though! (I'm still bidding everyone just in case!)

Well, time for beer....and loss of consiousness...

IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, just another long week....OVER!

I think the low number is 280...Mr. Mundt...i believe he got SAT. There might be someone lower though.

Man i wish it were only a year for me...3 yrs here, but i was picky.

I'm in the 270's and was awarded one about 4 weeks ago... still another two months till training though... but like IP076 said, and i do know this too... Some if not, a few are waiting for specific runs to come open.. so if your like me, single, and dont mind moving, bid anything and everything. Lucky guys get to have frosty BEvERages now... i gotta go to work...
Later!

Which one did ya get HAZ-MAT?

I am actually really surprised that SAT went so junior...great run...great pay...5 days a week. Show somewhere around 11pm and home by 8 am. Great place to live...many things to do...especially the hill country, and only an hour from Austin. Ummmmmmm......Auuuuussssstttiiiiiiinnnnnnn...6th street...everyone who has been knows what i mean.

Darn great place if ya ask me.

HUH HUH!!!!! HAZ-MAT said BEVER....but frosty???? I like em warm and fuzzy.:D

Hahaha... Well its my turn now for some frosty liquid to get rid of this dehydration!! I was awarded DSM, dont know anyone there, but i'll do just like i did here in MEM. Yea, that SAT run looks nice, but sorry, i just dont like how hot it gets in Texas... especially south Texas. 5 day run in a Lear... man.. for a Riddle Brat like myself.. i'd be debt free in 6 months!! That FXE run that came out this week looks nice too, but i have my thoughts on who will be taking that one... possibly, yea, and I dont like how hot it gets in FL either!! No really, i'm not a New Englander :D
Well everybody enjoy their weekends... and keep it blue side up, unless you're floating a cooler in the pool :D

How come its taking so long to get guys to jet class? Historically does it take that long to go to class? I know some prop guys that got awarded new prop runs and its taking them 3 months to move from their current run. Are we short that many people or what? Seems like having floaters on runs for 3 months isn't a good option when you've got a line pilot awarded the base and ready to move. I'm outbased and never go through CMH so I'm out of the loop, maybe someone could fill me in.

wings...

Right now we are so short of pilots that we are actually closing runs because of it. For that reason, short of pilots, we are unable to send a pilot to their new run right away because then we will not have a pilot to take over that newly vacant run. Easier to leave someone who knows the run on it and just charter out the run they just bid.

Jet class has to do with both the above scenario and the schedule of openings at Simuflite. I got lucky and was in class within a month of my bid...most people talk about months between bidding and going to class. It is just the luck of the draw i guess.
