That and the fact the bags of old probably had only twenty airports worth of info in them, and a fifth of scotch...

Too funny . . . .

My first job as an FO on a corporate jet often found me paired with the Chief Pilot, who was a Baptist Deacon . . . . If I, God forbid, ordered a beer at dinner on a layover, he wouldn't say anything, but I would get the silent treatment throughout dinner. . . . and, if I ever went into the lobby bar or (gasp!) ventured off-campus. . . . Lord help me- I'd get the silent treatment the whole next day.

So, being the team player that I am, I found room in my flight case for a fifth of Dewar's. The old man probably thought I'd been saved, and everyone was happy.

I'm sure you'll all be happy to know that I have since matured, and don't drink Dewar's on layovers anymore . . . . I've moved on to the single malts.

Because it has the neat little bitten apple logo, MS products lack that marketing genius.

Apple actually lags into a market. They did not invent cell phones or smart phones, they just dramatically improved them for stupid people. However, once the Droid/MS side was spooled up, and they started developing stuff for stupid folks, Apple loses market share and now Droid/MS phones rule the market. Same thing will happen for pads and apple must adapt to a new "need".

Honestly, I think these pads are going to be like a dog chasing it's tail. Each year Apple comes up with a new ipad, slightly different size and all. So, one year from now, when Apple makes an ipad Air II, and it is 1/8inch narrower yet, how will those fit in the aircraft mounts?

Regarding the mounts - I think the suction cup solution will prevent the issue of differing models. It will also be a lot of fun when paired with a gallon of synthetic lubricant and a good wifi connection.

I've already emailed IT with my thoughts on this. They thanked me and said that I could expect a certified letter. I'm assuming that it's a medal or some form of commendation.

Or, perhaps a new name-tag for your leather jacket? :D

Synthetic lube?

You need to switch over to my homemade organic lube. Last longer and is much cheaper. I'll PM you the recipe.

Your commendation will probably be a left over OneLuv coin. I hear they have thousands of them in the basement of the GO. Best thing is to make into a big rodeo-style belt buckle like I did.
