Do we have any here? I'm interested in learning more about this career path.

Yes and I am always busy! Hence the reply only minutes after the thread opened.

What is it that you want to know?

Well how do I get into it? I understand its a fun career and the pay isnt bad either (especially since I'm coming from regional FO pay). I've got a family on the way and I need to better support them. I would prefer to stay around airplanes so I thought this might be a good place to start looking. I have a very wide range of flying experience so I figured this is something I might be good at.

Where are you located? I believe we are still looking for sales people. Aviation backround is a huge plus.

It really just comes down to being able to talk to people, and not have that typical "telemarketer" tone when are making cold calls. Just like anyother job there are highs and lows. I have come into the office and made 60 calls and did nothing but talk to answering machines and rude secretaries all day. Then the next day every person I talk to either wants a plane or wants to sell. It depends on the company you are working for, but most of the time you will receive a small base salary in addition to a commission for any sales you close.

Sounds like a great way to stay involved in aviation. I am currently outside the aviation world due to an upcoming marriage (25 days), long hours at the current job, trying to get clients in my current entrepreneurialship mission,(ok, it's not a word but it looks cool). Anyways, I think getting back into aviation would be great.
That's all I have for this posting...... I guess I'm rambling now so I will post this.
