While discussing the the Airbus aircraft with a friend, he mentioned that an onboard computer limits the bank angle to a maximum of 30 degrees.
Any truth to this?
If true, is there any way that a pilot can over ride the computer?
Can mx change the max bank angle?

Any AB pilots, correct me if I'm wrong...

The computer limits you to 60 degrees of bank. If you try to go past that, the roll stops at 60, and Pierre says "Roll! Roll!"

I don't know if it can be overridden, but I doubt MX can change it. I'm sure it's right in the computer code.

'I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that!'

According to www.airbusdriver.net (which appears to be down at the moment)

In Normal law on the A320 pitch is limited to 30 degress nose up, 15 degrees nose down, and 67 degs of bank angle.

Bank angles in excess of 33 degrees require constant sidestick input.

If stick-input is released, aircraft returns to 33 deg of bank.
