Hi!

I am writing this for a guy I know who doesn' t have a computer.

He has wanted to go to Airborne for quite a while, and they had been his first choice for a final career move.

Now that they've been bought by DHL, however, he is wondering what it's like now.

He is worried about going there, and then having DHL close down the whole operation and send all of the pilots out on the street.

Any information, opinions, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

abx

airborne will be on a 7-10 year contract providing a service to DHL consisting of ACM
Aircraft
Crews
Maintenance

Everything else that used to be ABX is now owned by DHL:
Sort facility, trucks, Airport, Logistics....

I don't work for ABX and I'll be the first to say I don't know much about how it looks for them down the road. The contract may be a little more than 10 years but not by much. What happens after the contract is up? Who knows...

There are also many issues regarding DHL-ALPA and teamsters regarding the whole affair.
