Anybody know the email address & the phone number for Dell's House next door Corporate for sim prep?

PM me if necessary...

Dell's place is actually a 15 min or so drive from the airport (HQ) and he'll pick you up if you're going to do the prep prior to interviewing. they should have sent you this info in the packet, if that is the case. he has a website at http://www.destinationflightsim.com/

What's the upgrade time over there and are they hiring into the CRJ?

What's the AirTran JetConnect fleet going to become?

Not sure about upgrade time - i was told 5 to 8 years when hired in December. Its shorter right now because of our growth spurt. I think it will be closer to five unless we continue to grow somehow after this summer is over. The Air Tran fleet of 10 will be absorbed into the United fleet with the very likely closing of our Atlanta base at the end of this summer.

Cool. I'll need the five years for my PRIA record to clear when I kick my Chief Pilot in the nuts as I walk out of his office happily resigned (and probably retroactively disciplined). HEE HEE HEE. =P

Pieces of Latest Weekly Wrap-IAD

Flight Operations Analysis in Progress. AWAC’s leadership team is currently analyzing flight operations for flight crews. As United decides where to position all of its Express carriers, it will be important for AWAC to make sure our system is aligned for maximum efficiencies. By the end of this month, decisions will be made for possible system realignments and all employees will be informed of any changes.

Washington-Dulles Domicile Opening. Effective July 1, 2004, AWAC will be opening a crew domicile at Washington’s Dulles International Airport (IAD). The number of people needed for the domicile has not yet been finalized. Additional information will be shared as United finalizes their plans for AWAC’s role in East Coast operations.

Sounds like there planning on giving us as little heads up as possible if they're going to displace ATL. Newhires starting in May sounds like reserve out of IAD might have your name on it, maybe some line holders if not many take it. At ZW a RSV pilot and a LINE pilot are concidered two seperate positions and even if a bunch of people bid IAD, i doubt they'll bid a RSV position. AD

Thanks for the update AD!

Keep us posted, I'm very curious as to what AWAC has planned in the next few months and years.

Class that just started
6 - 146 ATW RSV
13- CRJ ORD RSV

146 went junior in the class

Yeah I have no clue what they are doing, they say they are opening a crew base in July, but today put out a notice for 15 new ORD CPT Lineholders(eff July). Seems like they would have waited to force these new captains to take IAD if they wanted the upgrade, now they have to either displace, gamble enough capt's will take the new base on thier own, or upgrade more F/O's. We'll see......flight attendants have been notified they can bid IAD ( I assume to see how many actually take it since most F/A's don't commute, or maybe to force the next newhire class into having to go there)......no word for the pilots yet, but like the Wrap says, hopefully by the end of the month they will let us know.
