Midnight Mike--- no, I knew what the pay was and I was ok with that. When I actually went to their offices in ATL and met non-flight crew employees and such... that's when I changed my mind about it all.

01onthe75-- take a chill pill. I wasn't trashing talking you. I am entitled to my own opinion of AirTran. My opinion is based on first hand experience and my impressions. Deal with it. And yes you can trash talk other flight attendants. You can trash talk ANYONE who deserves it. Get real!

you infer that you are THAT GOOD. hmm, then why aren't you in training with continental right now if you interviewed a month ago. next, you called EVERY flight attendant at Air Tran *ghetto*. that's pretty bold. remember, you get back what you put out. you must have been talking trash at your interview. I guess i feel a little bit more comradery for my fellow flight attendants and have just a little bit more respect. oh and as we say at continental.....Work Hard, Fly Right

Perhaps I'm missing something, but waterskiette said she had an interview coming up "on monday" in a post from 1/13. To me that suggests the interview was on 1/16, the same day as your post, not "a month ago".

I'm not sure I understand your indignant "never trash another flight attendant" thing, either. This whole SITE is predicated on trashing other airline employees, why should FA's get a pass?

y'know what, I wasn't going to even post on this thread anymore because it is so obviously STUPID now! It started off with someone asking for info about AirTran's hiring and now it's turned into name calling! But I've had enough!

So let me clarify!
I was originally scheduled for an interview at CAL in the middle of December, but I came down with an upper respiratory infection and I was so sick that I couldn't walk. I had to reschedule for early in Jan. because that was the next opening they had after the holidays. Sadly I didn't get the job... The whole interview session was extremely rushed and we were all herded around like animals it felt like! I was told to expect a 20 minute interview and it ended up being more like 5. I don't think you can really learn too much about someone in just 5 minutes. I didn't get any eye contact from the recruiter and I wasn't sure at times if they wanted in-depth discussion or quick answers. It was very one-sided... much different than my UAL interview that was very conversation-let's get to know you-type.
But that's ok, I'm not mad about it or anything, and I'll just have to reapply in 6 months!

01onthe75--- you MUST be one of those ghetto flight attendants that I've been talking about... why don't you try to retract those acrylic nail talons and chill out!

For the record, I committed the cardinal sin of making what is known as a "mistake", 0175. I had the wrong date. I asked a question about it, and you came back with both barrels blazing. So, I am wrong. I admit it. But you are still an ass. You could've corrrrrected me without going this route, but noooooo. So, while you revel in your being right, I hope you remember what they say about winning internet arguments.

Waterskiette, don't worry, I'm not so much "supporting" you as wondering why this 01on75 doofus got so nasty and agressive with so few posts under his/her belt. Some people just get off on trolling, I guess. Luckily s/he won't comment anymore because s/he doesn't have time for it.

I can relate to the ghetto comment but I would rather describe the experience as similar to riding a Greyhound bus. While I worked there I met a lot of nice people, many that were previous Delta FA's.
