What are the requirements for an air traffic control officer?
I have tried to do the military pilot thing but awful eyesight keeps getting me turned down. I would prefer continuing as a civilian pilot and being either a navy or air force reserve or ang air traffic controller but if things keep the way they are I may have to put flying on hold for a guaranteed income and then I'd even take an active duty post.

Don't know about the Air Force, but for USMC Officers there aren't any real requirements I know of other than the MOS being open. You wouldn't be commissioned if you didn't already meet the GT requirement. You go to follow on schools for the training. Keep in mind that as an Officer, after you get initially qualified in ground/tower/local, you won't be spending much time in the tower. Enlisted controllers normally run the tower, while the Officer has other responsibilites as the OIC.

All Air Traffic Control Officers in the Navy are LDOs (Limited Duty Officers.) The Navy selects these officers competitively from top performing enlisted personnel who usually have 10 or more years of experience. You would not be able to be an ATC officer in the Navy without first spending a few years working your way up the ranks.
