Hello Does anyone know which bases does air midwest currently have and which are more junior than senior. Do they give base of choice or do they assign you one. thank you

AHN-Senoir
DUJ-Senoir East closing end of sept
LNS-JR F/O
VIS-SR
ICT-JNR
JLN-SR
MCK-JR
MCI-JR
JBR-SR
FMN-JR/Sr
MWA-JR Closinng in OCT
CDC/VEL-Closing SR
I would not go to Air Midwest due to the fact it will not be around in 8 months. you go to the base were you can hold.

you have options son, do not fly a POS 1900. You are above that now, there is a pilot shortage over at the regionals. Absolutely no need to fly a turboprop

Props are cool.. AMW is not..

I didn't even know we were hiring..

previous poster was dead on..

likely go to FMN or ICT as a new hire

I guess if you really like hearing loss and more work then more power to ya.

Airplanes need propellers. The only thing that jets are good for is making bubbles in the hot tub!

If you were to go to AMW over a jet job, the 1900 is a good flying plane. Now, since I have left, they have aged by 5 years and that adds a bit of wear and tear, but overall the 1900 is a great plane

Are they running pax flight outta ICT now? I thought they only did mx here (ICT), but I hear AMW on the radio all the time. That'd be awesome if there's service to MCI!

Haven't heard that one yet, and could have gone without it-------simple and stupid

I heard Mesa was trying to sell AMW to Gulfstream; and Gulfstream has been hiring A LOT of new hire captains.

Have fun at a crap hole airplane.

P.S. Nothing wrong with a turbo prop, I would trade flying my pencil jet for a Q400 any day of the week.

No pax flights out of ICT yet.. possibly in the next couple months.. scheduled 91 flights to repo planes to MCI and then the crews fly the rest of the system, and return scheduled 91 to ICT to end the shift..

1900 is a great plane.. most pilots could stand the experience of a no AP turboprop.. teaches you a lot.

though i am pretty much deaf..

THANK you! I'd been waiting for a response. Much appreciated. :)

Yea there is an ICT base there.. but the flights in and out are scheduled 91. They don't want to run rev flights yet.. b/c planes are routinely late out of MX in the morning
