I want to fly in the guard. I currently live in Indiana. I would appreciate any help? I dont know the best way to start looking. I don't know who is looking for pilots right now. Any current or former guys/gals willing to help? You can private message me if need be.

Thank you

I think they have vipers at Ft Wayne. Find the number, call a recruiter...you need a bacheolrs degree.

cargo junkie- hit the above websites as well as www.baseops.net. Find the units that you may be interested in and call. Find out who the CP is and go from there. Just be yourself on the phone and let them know who you are and that you would like come for a visit. Then, show up, make a good first impression, and find out all you can about the unit. Have a thorough resume package ready, just in case they ask for it at that time. Let them know that you are interested in staying in the area for a while, and that you are not planning on moving. A lot of units have guys there for 20+ years, and they tend to like that. I switched over from the Navy to the Air Force Reserve and had to go through the same process that you are interested in. Let me know if you have any more questions. Sorry, but I have no contacts at those units however.

I'd suggest you also look in the AF Reserves. They have a 135 Tanker unit in IN at Grissom USAFR base.
