Air Force board dates, timeline to UPT

First of all, thanks to everyone for contributing to this forum. It's been a wonderful resource for researching the military application process...

According to this announcement, the next Air Force selection board will be meeting on Feb 8 next year:

My question is about the requirement that applicants be born after May 1, 1975. Since I was born in June 1975, I seem to meet this requirement (just barely). But since I would still need to go through officer training, would there be enough time for me to finish OTS/BOT in time to start UPT by my 30th birthday next June?

Anyone know where I can find a list of the UPT classes scheduled for 2005? Is there a class starting in the May/June timeframe?

I'm working with the local recruiting advisor as well, but I wanted to ask you guys too since the info on this board tends to be really helpful.

All the scheduling of UPT classes is done by the guys in AETC/DOF down at Randolph. There is probably a UPT class starting every couple of weeks when you combine all the bases together. So, concentrate on getting through OTS and then worry about the UPT class date. They look at these kind of factors when filling the classes with punks (punk is a term of endearment, don't be upset by it or you may not have tough enough skin to get through UPT )

Thanks for the info... I have the OTS class dates and it seems that the timing will work, but just barely.

Any idea when they would do the background check? Is it something that needs to be done before OTS?

Punk, dude, trainee, whatever... I'd just be happy to be flying for the USAF.
