According to their website they have moved to Chino?

Anyone have any details? Is Ari still involved or has Mark taken over?

Gossip anyone?

Was there 3 years ago

I got my CFI rating from ADP Nov 02 in under a week. It was quite a setup there. I was looking to get my MEI and send some of my students there a few months back and I was under the impression Mark was no longer there.

He was good but it looked like a lot of work. I hope he ended up in a better place.

The flight school I work at now takes at least 3 months to get a CFI rating. In our monday morning meeting, the owner told me not to talk about my quick rating. I have to admit the flight schools preparation here is thorough but I had 3 months of CFI experience in the time they take to prepare for the rating.

yes indeed they are out of CNO now. I worked for the company which originaly had the hangar they are in now, known as Makarion institute of aeronautics. That place was a whole other story....

But anyways, yes they took that building over which is the NICEST building on the field without a doubt. I ironically worked there for a very short while, then managed to get out of there and am now happily over at Amflight. But I do have a buddy that works there and he says it is insane but he is flying quite a bit and building those hours up so I can feed him the rope and get him out of there!

I can't really speak for the place since I did not work there long at all,but I do know for a fact Ari was still running the show becasue he hired me. Seemed "ok" but the planes are definately a bit worn.

From what i was told through the grapevine, the airport manager (who has since resigned) upped everyones rent 100-400%. ADP moved obviously because thats a pretty steep price. They were the main driving force at POC and now the airport is a ghost town. Many believe that the resigned airport manager was a puppet for someone. Also the company that does the management for POC also manages golf courses, and some say that there was some influence from the next door golf course to "expand" Its a kind of a funny situation because the resigned airport manager had no aviation experience and previously managed golf courses, and lets just say she wasn't the brightest crayon in the box (from meeing her personally). Just an odd personality. Its a shame because since ADP moved out of POC the traffic count has dive bombed, and with that means less funding from the FAA, and it just snowballs from there. The only flight school on the field is Mt. Sac and they only train students enrolled in their aviaiton program. There were rumors that the NHRA wanted to buy the property to expand their race track area. What a shame...

Mark has gone to greener pastures. I always wondered what took him so long. He was one of the best managers out there. Both him and Noleen. I wish them the best.

Wow! Reminds me of what Oceanside City tried to do with OCN...until the FAA remembered a grant of $Xmillion they'd have to pay back...
