Hey there!,
Just wanted to see if anyone had positive or not so positive things to say about Air Cargo Carriers Inc. There's a possibility I might have a class date but I wanted to get some opinions on this board. Thanks

Hey guys!!!!!
I know some of you'll must know something...come on...any info is really needed!!!!!!!!!!!!! I read this board a lot and I need to know what you'll think!

I cant tell you much about them...

I was supposed to take a captain position with them two years ago, but decided to go to the Caravan operator with the gravy schedule instead.

I know I haven't heard anything bad about them...so if that helps?

Good luck to you.

Did a year with them 5/99-5/00. Excellent company, great training. Proved to be a great primer for ASA ground school. They paid us in training and put us up at the company "farmhouse". Nice place, but midnight train took a week to get used to! Part of pay is per diem so first year fo pay was 19k or so and was taxed on 10k. Planes are well maintained and the operation is run as close to an airline as possible, op specs, profiles, etc. if you make the nogo decision they will not kick you to the curb- as long as you can substantiate your case. I had to decline the upgrade to go to ASA, they required a training contract at that time even for upgrades and I had already completed one! Also, your time reset at captain so instead of 2 year pay I would start at 1! This may have changed. Most scheds were 830 show 930 depart arrive 1100 hit the chair, 345 get up 430 depart back at 600 home by 630. not bad for night freight. Good luck-

heres what you need

just talked to them on friday afternoon. theyre accepting resumes however not hiring anytime soon. you never know tho. theres places looking for pilots. just have to find them when theyre looking for you. ive already been 3 days late...in one case 1 day late. aaaauuuuggghhh!

I got a job offer from them but you have to pay for training (alot by the way). Their chief pilot is really nice and the company seems fine. If I had fewer hours I'd go but i'm so close to a non pay for training job otherwise. So..I couldn't force myself to take it. I'll just wait on a regional instead. I'd like to thank everyone for their advice. You've been very helpful. Best of luck to all.

Hey Eric!! Did you finally decide to go there or have you changed your mind AGAIN!?

(Oh yeah, I'll be based in RIC instead of RDU)
