Hey,
I was at LGA today, and have been seeing the CRJ's with the Air Canada logo (NOT Jazz). Who is flying these? Is it Jazz without the big Jazz logo, or is main line flying them now? Any info these folks at all, i.e. hiring, Q of life etc, would be appreciated. Also, are their license issues with canada (conversions of any sort??)

As of now, soon to change, (maybe) Air Canada mainline operates CRJ's, and have been doing so for over 7 years. Air Canada Jazz also operate CRJ's. This is not the same pilot group as Air Canada mainline. For a FAA certificate holder to convert to Transport Canada ratings with commercial abilities, you would have to take a MINIMUM of 2 flight tests, and a MINIMUM of 2 written examinations. You also have to be able to live and work in Canada legally to fly for Air Canada, or Jazz. They prefer citizens, obviously.

Air Canada will soon have 317 pilots on furlough, so they won't be hiring in the near future.

Jazz is also not hiring at this time.

The Canadian aviation industry is in a worse situation than that of the US right now. I would concentrate on the US for now.

Anyway though,
Good Luck
