Air Canada E175 vs Air Canada Jazz CRJ704

I found it interesting that mainline flies the E jets and the regional flies the CRJ 704s. Don't both of these airplanes seat the same number of people?

All the Air Canada CRJ's are being transfered to Jazz. The smallest aircraft Air Canada will operate will be the Embraer 175
