Just wondering if anyone knows of any air ambulance jobs in the Phoenix area? I know that there was a company called Native Air Ambulance. Are they still operational? Are they hiring? Trying to relocate to that area (for the last 2 years now).
Thanks

AirEvac Services is based in Phoenix. I think they fly a conquest II but dont quote me on that. They dont have much for a web site nor do I have any contact information for you.... Sorry but its a place to start looking.

Most of the Air ambulance outfits are based out side of Phoenix and fly people in for better standards of care.

Also if I am not mistaken Native Air was bought out or merged with someone.

Thanks for the info. Anything outside of the PHX area will also be helpful. Lake Havasau, Sedona, Tuscon, etc.

Air Ambulance Outfits out of AZ

EMS out of AZ....

- Native Air. Now on the Omni flight certificate. Showlow, Gateway and Deer valley. They fly PC-12's (Pilatus)
- Air Evac. Conquest out of PHX and Lake Havasu
- Sunwestern out of Lake Havasu, Yuma. They fly a PA-31 (Navajo)
- Guardian Air (Kingair and a PC-12) Chinle, Winslow, Kingman are their bases.
- If you are into 'copters, Life net has a couple of bases. One at Falcon Field in Mesa.

Unfortunately I do not have a clue on hiring etc. for any of these companies. I used to fly EMS a couple of years ago until I went to the dark side...

Hope this helps.

I see the AirEvac guys regularly. They're still in the Conquest, but sounds like they're moving over to the King Air.
So far I have seen about 3-4 King Airs coming in the last month.

SunWestern....I think they're done. They have been cycling them in and out of HII for the last 2 months, and they don't have one stanged infront of their FBO anymore, ready to go. They had one torn down and put on a trailor Thursday afternoon, and 2 more sitting on the ramp being used as parts.

OK If you really want to be in AZ but dont care about the location look into Eagle Air Med. They are in Window Rock, Kayenta and Chinle AZ on the Navajo reservation flying King Airs. Also Aero Care has some of the same bases as Eagle Air in AZ. If you want to live in that part of the country you might as well look at Gallup Med flight in Gallup NM.

Guardian is out of Flagstaf as well.

Take Care,

Jason

AirMethods

Another company based in Arizona is AirMethods. They have a fixed wing base in Winslow, AZ. They fly Guardians airplanes and medcrew. The Winslow base flies King Air E90's and Pilatus PC-12's. Starting pay is a little over $50,000/year. Any more questions, PM me.

Native also flies the whirly birds out there... high turn around at Native from what I understand from a pilot that used to fly out of Prescott for them.

Any idea of the pay and QOL for Native Air on their PC-12? Trying to get an in on a company out there in AZ.

From what I hear, the starting pay is about $51K for a 7 on/7 off schedule. I haven't heard many good things about morale.
