I saw two Go! CRJ's in CAE...are they done for or is this just some sort of normal maintenance or finishing facility?

I thought they painted and got them ready in PHX but they might be in for heavy mx...dunno

I believe CAE is used as a Heavy MX base for YV 200s

Interesting that although Mesa is clearly in a world of hurt, so much so that they're dumping the EAS flying and the Air Midwest wing, they're holding onto other "optional" flying.

IE, the Go! flying. They could probably save a ton by shutting it down immediately. Yet they persist. I wonder why?

Go to the go! website and try to buy a ticket. Pick a couple of days and one weekend. Then come back on this board and answer your own question. The answer will quickly become obvious. When you're done with that, go to Hawaiian's website and do the same.

When you do this, remember that go! started with $39 fares and that most of the time that fare was available. It is very possible that go! and Airways are the only profitable flying Mesa is doing right now.

Both airlines have been very quiet about their fares since the Aloha collapse.

Mesa sucks!!! When that rusty old ship finally sinks, I'm buying the first round to celebrate!

It was mostly a rhetorical question, really. The Go! flying has probably achieved it's primary goal of becoming profitable now that it's put Aloha out of business.

Mesa looks like it's going to crumble though. I suppose the only question left is whether some other carrier will pick up the Go! operation, or if it will be spun off as a going away present for Mesa's CEO.
