Age waiver question

I am shooting for the March '05 selection board. I have been told, but not confirmed, by a couple of guys at the unit that they can waive "one for one". Supposedly for each year I served in the Army they can waive one additional year for selection. I will be 29 by time I reach the board and I am wondering just in case I have to try for a later one.
