I just finished looking at the responses for the public comment on the FAA docket FAA 2006-26139 AGE 60 RULE- REQUEST FOR COMMENT. By the looks of it, 95% of airline pilots support changing "this anitquated rule which makes absolutely no sense".

I have to hand it to the old guys, while young pilots whose careers will be adversly affected Bit#h about the rule on forums like this one, the older fellas know where to go. When the FAA looks at the input from the docket, they are going to wonder what all the fuss is about and the rule will be changed.

I just hope that they don't take away the B-fund. By the looks of it, when everyone who is 60 today is long gone...everyone else is going to be forced to work until 65 just to survive.

A "request for comment" doesn't change anything. This movement died late Tuesday evening.

Nothing is ever a reality with the FAA soon.....................

It may happen but its implementation is years away........

Was it over when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!! Nothing is over until we say it is!!!

Most of those responses were from women---probably the wives of senior old pilots who don't want them home 24/7 yet.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Marine, SWA/FO is from a different planet, so he's not fully up to speed on the history here.

But we tolerate him.
"Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diago, which of course in German means a whale's vagina"

One of our guys at SWA his is also the head of the APAAD, said today on our forum that the recent chabge in congress SERIOUSLY jeopardizes this changing. THANK GOD. KLAKO time to start saving!

Excellent recovery MarineGrunt

Supplant, schmuplant. Anyone who doesn't know that reference couldn't supplant Dean Wormer's arse.

It wasn't "Animal House", it was "1942", where John Bulishi (sp?) played a P-40 pilot with a cigar and two days growth on his face. But what can I say SWA F/O has a college degree.

No, it was animal house. John Belushi allowed seven years of collage to go down the drain and illustrated what he did not learn with this quote.

Thanks for the support, it seems we are getting old. Move over Gen X, Gen Y is in the house!
