The best thing to do is to record all of your flights on an MP3 or something so that after your flights you can listen to your tape and ask your instructor for clarification on anything you werent sure of. It helps a lot to do that, and also you should backseat as much as possible so that you can listen to ATC and not have to worry about flying. Hope this helps, goodluck.

I don't have problems on the radios but I'm interested in how you record transmissions to mp3?

Mabey its not an MP3, it looks like one, I should probably find out before I write that next time though. The students plug it into the mic jacks and record all of their flights, works pertty well.
 
Interesting. Find out for me if it's not too much trouble and get back to me.

I'm big into video and making flying films. I've always used an audio line from the rear intercom or empty seat and ran it direct to the video camera.

I am almost 100% that they are MP3 players, they record them onto little discs and can record I believe up to four or five hours on them. As soon as I go back to work I will ask and get back to you on that.
