I am studying for the AFOQT right now I was wondering what all I should bring with me to the test. Pencils, scratch paper etc. Also is a calculator permitted?

No, a calculator is not permitted. All you'll need is yourself. They'll give you pencils and paper. Are you taking the new version of the test? Do you have a recent study guide? If you're taking the new version of the test there is no electrical maze, and a few other things are different than the old ARCO study guide. Get a lot of rest before hand and relax. Good luck!

" no electrical maze" - what!!! they were so fun. took that test 10 years ago this summer. my scores are still on that maxwell afb site.

Kind of like Contra, there was a "cheat" for this too. I forget how it works but you could basically figure the electrical maze by counting the lines out of the center node thingy. In other words, it cut my time from like 3 minutes per to about 3 seconds--without error. Pretty rad.

I felt like such a "slower learner" taking the electrical mazes in the AFOQT. It seemed like everyone else had no problems, but im the rat lost in the maze. Oh well, I guess my mind didnt want to work with them.
