Which cargo carriers are routinely flying into Afghanistan these days?

More specifically are Kalitta, Atlas, Polar, Southern, or any other of the 747 operators?

Antonov, Silkways, Volare, Grand Comoros, Kupol, Trans Avia and some smaller ones. Don't think there are US Carriers involved anymore since most of the logistics are now handled by NATO/ISAF contracted lift.

He is correct. Mostly russian operators flying in here (besides the military). Others are Volga-Depnar, Azerbaijan airlines, Ariana Cargo, Click, and the list goes on.

I live and fly in Afghanistan, and I have never seen a western cargo operator visit these parts. Someone operates a cargo DC-8 (with yellow engines and yellow tail), not sure who it is.

If a US company did operate into there, I don't think they would want it advertised to an unknown person on an open forum.

‘Just because your not paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not out to get cha.’

If they down one US registered wide body aircraft, it’ll make international news and be declared a major victory on their part.

Your probably right though; but we could announce the next time that you fly into there, and tell them what to look for.

Show me where it is on the internet that you can see US registered flights into KIA?

"They", "Them", what ever. Dude, Civil Cargo & Pax Carriers, american or not, have been operating into major conflict areas in the world for a long time. Sure, it's sometimes dangerous, but it needs to be done.

But you can stay home, watch Fox Noise and think everybody is out there to "get you" and be afraid of your own shadow.

Kaiapit, Papua-New Guinea?
