Anybody have any info on aexjet out of Aspen? Looking for the usual info...QOL, pay, time off, bases, etc...

Thanks,
N2F

I don't know much at all, but my friend just recently got hired there so I will tell you what he has told me so far. It sounds like they only hire type-rated pilots, so you need a type in one of the a/c they fly. It looks like you do have a type in something they fly. I think they have a couple Beechjets, some G200's, and a Falcon 50 and 900. I don't know anything else about the fleet composition. They home-base everyone, and work a 7 on/7 off schedule. Pay seems to be very good as well as benefits. It sounded like you are covered 100% for healthcare and wife/dependents were covered at 50%. You don't hear much about the place, but it seems like a top-notch operation.

Top Notch?????

I wouldn't say top notch but they're not too bad.
tk855 has it almost right, from what I've been told sked is 8 on/6 off, benefits are 100% for employee and 50% for family (not great but okay) pay for their largest aircraft is right around $100k. A little low IMHO. All in all not a bad gig but no where near top notch unless your coming from some bottom feeder 135 outfit.

Yeah I wasn't sure. I suppose my buddy made it sound "top notch" because he was excited to be moving on from a bottom feeding 135 outfit. Rice, you sound like you know much more than I do. My friend seems to think the place is better than Netjets, but somehow I don't seem to think that now.

Better than Netjets?????
Hmm, lets see. Aexjet, new company with no history, big money behind it but nowhere near BH, no union (for better or worse but in this business I like the protection a union offers). Pay is about the same. Skeds are similar. Equipment is good at both. I guess its all in how you look at it, you know the greener grass theory.
FWIW, I don't work at either company and this free advice is only worth what you paid for it.
