Looking for some aerobatic training in the NC or VA area. Are there any sites online which have a listing of places that offer this (similar to say the Seaplane Pilot's Association, but for aerobatics?).

Also, what should I look out for or what should I avoid? What are some good primary aerobatic training aircraft?

(Someone shoot me if I'm starting to sound like Squale)

Hi...

Try this link. Hope it's helpful.

The Super Decathalon is a great airplane for learning basic aerobatics. It is easy to fly, handle, fun, and is very responsive to give you a strong foundation. I would recommend either this aircraft or a Pitts.

Good luck & enjoy..

I took some aerobatic training last Dec in a Pitts and loved it. Although it was a tight fit for me with the parachute on.

I second the Decathlon 8KCAB and would use the Citabria 7KCAB for light aerobatics if you couldn't find a Decathlon. Definitely try to use someone recommended by the IAC.

I spent 5 days in Mesa flying with Fight Combat doing unusual attitudes and hood/upside down work. It is spendy but worth the money. Its something you probably wont ever need, but when you are upside down on final you'll be glad to had the experience.
