Anyone know if the place is still operating. Is Richard still alive and running the show? Are they still doing the university instruction or is the university finally in full swing?

I did my CFI/II with Aero Tech in 1988 at Merrill Field. Dick Ardiz was owner then and gave me my check rides. Their web site www.aerotechalaska.com still shows the company being owned by the Ardiz family. I think Dick was close to 60 back in 1988 so he must be in his mid 70's now if he is still alive. Great guy though. We talked about the old Wien Alaska days during the check.
