Just have a few questions for you eagle employees...
1- For how much longer do you think they are going be giving everyone their base choice?
2- When do you think they are going to start giving the "Jet" in the DFW base?
3- How senior are the day trips for the Saab in DFW?
4- I know it's been asked but I'm still a bit confused...Flight bennies. I've got a wife and 2 kids, do they get unlimited flight bennies too? What about parents?
5- And last but not least...any good rumors going around? growth, upgrades etc?

hmmm....

Hmmmm...those are some really good questions. I know there are some Day trips in the saab. But I have no idea how many there are and how senior they go. Sorry. Anyone else care to chime in? If anyone cares of course

Dam that's just cold... ya'll like my new avatar? I think she is soooooo hot!

Not to be rude, but run a search. I answered almost all of those except the Saab questions last week.

I did run a search but it doesnt really answer my specific questions. I did find about the flight bennies though. But questions 1 to 3 still need an answer from someone that knows. thanks ya'll

1. For as long as newhire targets are not met. At this rate, it'll be mid 2008 (when the last flowback is expceted to be recalled).

2. DFW EMB is, for all practical purposes, the most senior seat at AE (I know, I know, LAX EMB takes a year to hold.........but a lot of that is due to the fact they've only got 45ish crews there. If DFW EMB only had 45 crews, what kind of seniority would you need to hold it? 1999 DOH). If you really, really want DFW EMB, bid LGA or BOS (EMB only bases), and then bid DFW EMJ as soon as indoc is over. You might have to spend a few months in LGA or BOS, but it won't take that long to get awarded DFW. Then again, if you REALLY want DFW right off the bat, bid it, and you'll almost certainly be assigned the SF340. Reserve shouldn't be that long. Seat lock expires after 1 year.

3. I couldn't tell ya that. I've been Northeast EMB since I got hired. Wish I knew :(.

To answer one of your questions, your wife and kids get unlimited flight benefits the day you start training, your parents also get benefits the first day that you start, however they only get 24 tickets to split a year.

Thank you chief!

Why not chose the Saab DFW? You could hold it right away.

Oh trust me my good man, whatever they give me I will take. I have plenty of time (jet) I dont have the jet fever. I just figured it would be nice to not do another initial in a year, but o well other have done it. Saab sounds like fun too. Do they have alot of 4 day trips in the saab or are they usually just 2 days and out and back. It's all about QOL for me man.

You and I are one in the same. Same thing goes for me, i'm hoping for my background to come back, just waiting on last set of pilot records and TSA and I should get scheduled for class. Hopefully the end of may. If I get the Saab that's kewl too, I've heard saab training is a bit tougher Think about it this way Chapin. Once you hit your upgrade it'll probably be back to the saab. See you in class chump

Day trip Saab is about 1 year seniority. Right now, trips on the Saab are favorited towards the locals.

Awesome... do you know of anyone that has stayed in the saab after the year mark eventhough second year pay in the saab is pretty low. Day trips sound nice, I live 15 minutes from DFW, it would be nice to leave in the morning and be back in the evening. Sweeeeeet

There are a few that have stuck around - the saab life is pretty great and it is also the quickest upgrade. The new hires now are only sitting reserve for <1 month. Oh yeah, and your not sitting reserve for the rest of the USA, just DFW and possibly LAX. Can't speculate too much on the lines, they are in the midst of making some changes to the line generator software to make it more pilot friendly. Right now we have a lot of 2-days.

Life is also pretty good in ORD on the EMJ, four months on the line and I am holding a hard line half way up the bid list, with 14 days off a month, including every weekend day. Upgrade time is still the same regardless of what equipment you are currently on, even if you are an EMJ FO you can still bid CA on the SF340.

Now that's a post! See that everyone! leaaaaaarn from the man. Thanks dude, 2 day lines are not tooo bad. It seems like a bunch of short hops would make the day go by quicker. Is it easy to get OT on reserve?

I heard there's been quite a few busted upgrade checkrides lately. Is this true?
