AE American Eagle Interview

Anyone else get a call from AE for a end of January Interview?? The recruiter said RDU may possible be opening as a crew base in the spring however nothing for sure!!

They used to sucker applicants with "flow-thru" promises.

RDU may indeed become an AE base by summer BUT, it will go WAY senior.

As a new-hire, you can expect a year in a turboprop (DFW SF3 or SJU ATR) then bid an RJ slot at LGA, BOS or ORD.

RJ F/O at RDU will take at least 2-3 years for a new-hire to hold Reserve there.

Talk to current Eagle pilots for facts to help dilute the "kool-aid"

Why will RDU go WAY senior? Whats so special about RDU? I understand Eagle has bases in SJU,MIA,LGA,BOS,ORD,DFW,LAX. With all those choices why would everyone flood to RDU? As an Eagle hopeful myself I'm just curious.

And by the way, seniority is given by your age in your class, so if you're over 30 or among the top 5 in age I imagine you will be able to bid jet FO. I'm hoping Jet FO at LGA

I believe RDU used to be a base for alot of the guys at eagle now. (When they were 4 carriers) Could be wrong though.

There are alot of senior Eagle pilots that live in and near RDU that currently commute to JFK and LGA. That's why it was speculated the base will go senior.

I will be interviewing on January 22, 2004. If anybody else going to DFW on that day PM me. I will be traveling to DFW on the 21st.
