Hello,

I am looking for anyone that has done the Navy Nav to Guard transition. I am a F-14 RIO that has been selected to go to UPT for a F-16 slot.

I have some questions to ask about how the transition worked, mostly administratively. If you fall into this category, could you PM me so I could ask some questions?

Thanks!!

First of all congrats. It's not an easy road but it's definitely worth it. There are a lot of hoops you're going to have to jump through before you ever get your class date. I did it and fortunately for me I was an age critical dude (even though I already had a waiver) so they got me a class date about five months after I left active duty while paying me as a full-time guy.
There is a mountain of paperwork and pitfalls to watch out for that I would rather tell you about directly. So PM me and I'll be more than happy to give you all the gouge via email or preferrably a landline. Once again congrats on getting picked up.
