Just went to Acapulco for the week and found out upon checkout that it costs $10 a minute to use the room phone whether you connect or not. Shame on Me for not searching like crazy for the rate considering that the front desk could not tell what the it was. So just a word to the wise anyone going to the Hyatt Regency in Acapulco, DONT USE THE ROOM PHONE!!!

Just back from the very same hotel.
Only picked up room phone to call hotel operator, no charge for that.
Just out of curiosity, WHY did you use the room phone?
Who did you just HAVE to call?
Do they charge on inbound calls as well?

Did you like the hotel?
