While jumpseating the other day, a DL captain told me he had a senior ACA DOJet captain in the jumpseat and that ACA has told the DOJet pilots that, when the airplanes leave, they can either stay with ACA/Independence or move with the airplanes to the new airline. Can any ACA DOJet pilots confirm this? provide more details?

Thanks,
IMBB

p.s. not trying to start a flame war or get anyone upset, just looking for information.

No such thing has been said here.

You are assuming that Delta may not discharge the aircraft in bankruptcy (if they file) and therefore ACA gets stuck with them or they get parked.

Has Delta said what they are going to do with the planes yet?

Not so sure Skyway will be taking them after all. Although that has been the rumor over the past several months, I recently heard that Skyway lost their financing for the airplanes. Seems as though they would have announced it by now if that were indeed the case. Who knows, but there has been no official announcement as to where they are going.

The picture was easy to find but hard to make fit, but I finally got it to work. Glad that you appreciate it. I have an actual sticker somewhere; if you have any left, keep them. Someday they will be collector's item's. Did you fly the F-100 at JI?

According to Bill Brown, Senior VP of Maintenance & Operations at ACA, Skyway will get 1 DoJet in August, 3 in September, and 7 in October. The remaining 20 Delta Connection DoJets will be parked on November 1 until Delta decides what to do with them. Not sure what the final outcome of those airplanes will be. The 3 "ACA Private Shuttle" DoJets (we own them outright apparently - N451FJ, N452FJ and N500FJ) will be sold. I know there hasn't been any official announcement re: DAL and Skyway but Bill seemed pretty confident that his information was correct. Take that for what it's worth.

Who will pick up the flights that the remaining 20 (parked) Dojets are handling now at out CVG? Probably Chautauqua, they are starting to invade concourse C. You CHQ guys heard any rumors about a CVG base yet? Say it ain't so. :(

Seriously though, I have several buddies flying for CHQ, so when you guys are in town. Gimme a buzz. ( ie, I'm Batman, where you been man?)

No rumors of CVG for Chautuauqua. I'm sure DL will keep us invading to keep the whipsaw going, but with our love of out-basing the crews will be from IND, RIC, BUF, CMH, GSO, etc.....

The latest SKYWAY rumor

Rumor has it that Delta is paying for Skyway's training costs for all the new hires. I dont know how many we are getting or when but one thing I do know is that Skyway doesnt have the money to be hiring all these guys. We were at ~210 pilots a year ago now we will be above 300 by end of September. So if this all falls apart for Skyway There will be 90 plus in the street.

Its been posted, Comair is pulling alot of flights out of ATL to absorb this, and ASA is growing by @30 flights a day to absorb Comairs leaving.
