Has anyone heard any rumors as to when Airborne Express will racall thier furloughs?

I heard their may be 40 more furloughs in Jan.

I have not heard anything of 40 in January, but recalls are unlikely in the forseeable future.

The international contracts which provide the flying for 11 crews domiciled in MIA are up for renewal at the end of March. If we do not get these renewed, there would likely be additional furloughs of 20-30.

Negotiations resume next Monday and hopefully we will be able to sign an improved contract by next summer, leading to a recall of our hostages. Of course we are all going to be monitoring progress at UPS.

OK thanks. I will be out of this sandbox early December and I will have to hit the ground running. I hope we get recalled eventually. I am unable to get the AOL message boards here but I have been writing in them through a 3rd party in case you have not noticed, abxaviator. Let me know if you hear anything please.
