First ABX forms a holding company then I find this bond offering for 1 Billion, maybe not the same company, but I can't find anything to say it isn't. What we gonna do with a billion?

Yeah, I don't think that's ours. Most likely the billion dollar note belongs to Barrick Gold.

The dates match up.

My guess is the PrudentBear article author just screwed up the name. Should have been ABX Financing Company, not ABX Holdings.

You're right, that's exactly what that is. Wishful thinking.

I saw the bond issue, and it was issued as ABX holdings, not Barrick gold or ABX, this coupled with the formation of the holding co. made me wonder. Unfortunately I did not look at the date, sorry.
