did anyone else hear Graber talking about another 1-2 years to settle contract because of the "greedy" (my words) pilots reopening all the articles.

Graber also mentioned in the conference call something to the effect (paraphrasing) : "that the pilot's choosing not to fly overtime had a .01/per share effect on earnings and that he didnt know how long that would continue. However we are taking steps to reduce the impact and that we should see the results almost immediately."

here is the exact text of what Graber said:

"This is John Grab, I am the President of ABX Air. The increased pilot costs are in the neighborhood of a penny a share and they are the result of a disagreement we are having with the union as Joe mentioned and we don’t know how long those cost will continue though; we are taking steps to moderate those costs and drive them down as fast as possible and I think we’re going to see some success in that almost immediately." This is a guy who reputedly referred to us as "scum sucking scorpions" in the mid 90's. The fact that he doesn't "love" us is no real secret.

Hete & Co. are reported to be asking for concessions in our contact. He will have to impose similar consessions on himself and his cronies in a manner that I can see, verify, and believe will be equal in duration to any concession he asks of me before I will consider accepting concessions.
