Conduct FAA required initial, recurrent, upgrade and transition training classes for ABX Air flight crewmembers, the FAA and contract personnel on the vastly complex group of subjects that make up aircraft systems, performance, weight and balance their operation and application or any other subjects required by the Flight Technical Training Department; monitor the progress of students to identify problem areas and correct those areas in a timely manner; develop, create, revise and edit Flight Technical Training Department course material for existing and newly acquired aircraft and specialized courses; develop and implement changes in training manuals and text; develop training aids such as home study training guides and classroom mockups, etc.; interface with Flight Standards, Maintenance, Engineering or the manufacturer to identify and correct procedural or recurring aircraft problems; provide technical expertise of aircraft system and operations; perform other duties as assigned.
Must have HSD/GED; A&P license, or pilots license, or flight dispatchers license, or ATP, or military equivalent; 7 years additional experience in any combination of the following - 121, 135 carrier or military aircraft mechanic, pilot, flight dispatcher, certified flight instructor, or aircraft related management; technical experience working with transport category aircraft; ability to interpret wiring diagrams and systems schematics; ability to translate complex principles and interactions into understandable format; posses strong oral and written communication skills; make presentations in front of a group; working knowledge of audio visual, photographic and computer equipment; ability to lift objects weighing up to 120 lbs. with assistance. Prefer teaching experience; computer/computer word processing program utilization skills; public speaking experience; college degree; advanced level of knowledge of ABX operated or equivalent aircraft.
Salary: $36,600 - $47,450 - $58,300 / Annually (Paid Bi-Weekly)
