I just looked at my June 07 schedule and factored in the new TA... My current rate is $60.59 hr and I have 87.24 hrs of pay for June.... I will lose about 3 minutes per leg due to the new TA, getting payed for movement rather than door closed. I have 47 legs in June for which equals 141 minutes (2.35 hrs)...... I have two days where I would lose 235 minutes (3.9 hours) due to not getting the 4 hour pay minimum. For June I would lose 376 minutes of pay or 6.3 hour.

Now, if I take my current pay (60.59/hr) and multiply it by my current hours (87.24 hrs) I make $5285.. With the new contract I would make 68.29/hr but my hours for June would only be 83.34 hrs... So 68.29/hr x 83.34 hours equals $5691. For a total pay raise of $406 for the entire month of June... Woooohooooo... I got a 1.07% pay raise.......... Dude... I'm voting this thing in right now.. Where do I sign up!!!!!!

Watch out for those "loose" minutes!! You know what they say about loose minutes and loose women!!

Sorry couldn't resist!! :cartman:

Dude.. Ya, no english major, but you get the point.. The more I look at this thing the more I'm getting pissed off.. I can't belive the NPA is trying to push this sh!t down our throats..... Ill change the post... haha

This freaking contract rules just thing Per Diem was $1.75 now it is $1.75. Of course factor in the 22 dollars a month for my underware and thats about 2 percent overall raise for the last 3 years.

AWESOME I TELL YOU

You're figuring 3 minutes difference between door close and the wheels moving? I would bet that is the minimum with it being a lot longer a lot of the time. We don't start getting paid until the wheels roll backwards and I would bet we get screwed out of an average of 5 minutes a push. Then of course there are the times you are buttoned up and ready to go and wait 25 minutes due to the ONLY tug breaking down.

nethan... Those times are covered.. Our pay will start no later than 5 minutes after door closed.. So, I think 3 minutes would be a good average, but then again, maybe not... You shouldn't lose any more than 5 minutes a push..

I've been off the last few days so once again I thank the FI board to get info on our new ta. Just wondering what the climate is in the crewroom? are their some people championing this as a great leap forward?

longer days with longer sits for more work for less pay...

fly the 737-800s giving the company more revenue for the pilots getting nothing...

the red eye question? thats how i read it as well....

pay scales dont mean d!ck, work rules and the total on the check is what counts....

conference call tonight 7 pm

wake up tranny pilots and realize you are getting hosed big time....

Our pay will start no later than 5 minutes after door closed..

That's good. Mostly it seems like it is pretty quick from the door closing to the push back. It's just those random 30 minute waits that drag the average down (up?). If you are covered 5 minutes after then it probably isn't that bad. Still, seems like a concession to me.

Not that bad??? Are you kidding me... If it takes 3 minutes to push on average, that is gonna cost me over 2.3hrs of pay a month.... Throw on the fact that Im gonna lose around 4 hours of pay a month when they take away the 4hr per day minimum... I'm getting screwed.. Its gonna cost me around $400+ per month.. BTW... 3rd year FO pay is still about $4/hr less than Frontier and Alaska's concessionary contracts.... Thanks NPA...

It is imperitive that everyone get out and be as vocal as possible, about what a lousy contract this is. We can't rely on flight info, as the only means of doing this. Not only does this TA need to go down, it MUST go down huge, for us to have any hope of fixing things. So PLEASE, don't be afraid to voice your opinions, every trip, every leg, to every Airtran pilot you see. It's time to show not only Airtran, but also Skipper and the boys how unacceptable this POS is.

Ooopppss.. Just checked my math ( I love Redhook Beer.. Reading this contract is driving me to drink)... The 1.07 % raise part is a little off... Looks like maybe around 7%.. Still sucks though... I love the fact that in year 4 of the contract AAI still won't be making what the current concessionary contracts at Frontier and Alaska are paying today..

It is complete crap that any airline can call "on time" and the crew not be getting paid for their work.

The scope was enough to kill this deal, but wow, it sounds like NPA went completely over the cliff. What are they thinking?

How do you get 7%?

3rd year FO rates were a 12.7% increase.

Losing door closed is a 3% loss.
Losing 4 hour min day is a 2% loss.
Losing pax schedule to 3 month average is a 2% loss.

That's a 5.7% pay raise. COLA is 9.3% over the last 3 years at 3% per year.

That's a total pay cut of 3.6% over what pay rates WERE when the contract became amendable.

On time is when we push not door closed. That is why the agents are standing on the flight deck at least 5 min prior to on time. we report door closed only for pay.

Lear... I didn't put it in economic terms.. But yes, you are right.. My point was to say that through all this B.S. ..... This contract sucks.... My money would have gone farther in 2001 when the current contract was signed than it will in July if this TA is signed.. This contract is a total POS... Hey.. how do we listen in on the conference call??

Just so you guys know I have read that the Holding CO. is not Bonded to this agreement. So in other woods the merge protection and scope means NOTHING!

why should we be worried about rushing this contract? one it is not a certainty that the merger will go through, and lear 70 says we have merger protection under the railway labor act anyway?

NO NO NO

Doa ! ! !

My friend . . . that 7% for you doesn't even keep pace with inflation . . . as a matter of fact, you are LOSING purchasing power as compared to what you had when they signed the 2001 Contract.

AirTran buds need to wake up and smell the crapola that's about to land.

This POS needs to be sent back with a resoundingly 95% NO vote.

No, No, No . . . what part of No, do you fail to understand? N O N O N O

BTW, great analysis Lear70 . . . glad you're on our side ;)

Afterprop... IF you look at my reply I agree with you 100%... As a matter of fact, I even say that my money won't go as far..... NO, NO and Fug NO...

Sometimes I type before I completely read the thread . . . did ya know we were buying 15 B737s . . . ;-)

We really need a 95% NO vote . . . that means 75 can vote yes . . . wonder which 75 that will be ? ? ?

Follow the Rules

I think that it goes without saying that we should be operating to the letter of the FOM and AOM from here on out. It is hot now, so make sure you get the APU running to help cool the cabin for the customers. Reference Taltons crew message from last may which said instead of trying to help others do their job, just concentrate on doing YOUR JOB.
