What is the present state of manning at Beale? Is there a huge need for applicants, or will there be within the next year of so?

What is day to day life in the sq like after your training? When not on TDY, what is the typical week like (ie how much do you fly, what kind of desk jobs do new guys get, etc.)

Thanks

Wang,

The U-2 is still a fairly classified program within the Air Force (I know nothing about it). I think you may raise a few eyebrows with your question judging by your profile and your web site which is entirely in Chinese. Why do you want to know these things?

Because I might consider defecting to the US and apply to fly the U-2... if I was not presently dead.

Holy s**t - a real communist on flightinfo.com!!! Wasn't it "Wong Way" that collided with one of our P-3's a few years back? I recall he also had a website......he would flash his website on a piece of paper to the American crews hoping they'll email him......What do you fly Wang - I couldn't tell on your website link?

Wang,
Although the U-2 is doing interservice transfers with other American military units, they have yet to do an exchange/transfer with any Chinese Air Force pilots. If you are going to pursue this, I'd be prepared to defect, should things "go south" with your commander.

Huggy!!
JW just did a low approach over Keesler. It was a 2 ship, hint: 4 available seats, where the heck were you??
