What are most folks getting and what are then bennies of each? Do they look at what type of time you have...or do they care at all?

I hear rumors that they do, but there was no evidence of it in my class. The United retiree got the Beechjet ("Hawker" 400XP), while I got the 560XL with nothing but turboprop time. No rhyme or reason to it.

I'm with Fozzy. The 400XP and Ultra/Encore have no APU and honey-pot lavs. Definitely put them on the bottom of your list if you have any choice!

The 560XL and XLS are running as a common fleet, meaning an extra $225 a month in differences pay for an FO if you're assigned that aircraft.

Seems to me that the Ultra and 400 aren't working as hard as the XL or X. You get used to sweating after a while.
 
Thought I heard that the Hawker 800XPC and the X were popular assignments lately. Just keep in mind that with a 3-4+ year upgrade (it fluctuates), you want to be comfortable because changing airplanes could take awhile... Of the various aircraft types, I'd probably go for the G200 initially if offered - a nice, wide cockpit would be a good place to hang for a few years before upgrade.
 
The Excel and the X are the two hardest working aircraft at NJA.

The Sovereign is gaining fast. Consider yourself warned.
