does anybody know where I might be able to download a/c systems (descriptions,explanations,interactive, etc.) for the B-717.

What are you looking for? The actual AFM can be bought from Boeing's web site, but most airlines use thier own aircraft operating mauals that take into account the exact options and procedures each individual airline bought and use. The engines are the BR-715, made by Rolls Royce. The avionics are all Honeywell. The APU is Sundstrand. Some general links to a lot of info on individual systems are:
